Flash, we meet again.

Time to start really putting my all into my senior film! I'm going to work with tweaking the colors a bit, this is mostly just a test-shot. But I have over half the film boarded and I should have it in animatic form by this time next week.

One of my favorite assignments from school was still the different turnarounds we had to do for History of Animation. I just think they're a lot of fun!

Might as well put my junior piece on here!

Oh dear.

I've finally changed a bit about this thing so that I wouldn't completely keel over if mystery people found it. However, due to the uncommon nature of my last name, this probably means it's super-easy to find for a variety of people, including my parents, if they happen to search for it. So, if that's the case, hi dad!

Gearing up for senior year, let's show this one who's boss! I'm hoping to be more successful with my thesis film than I was with my junior film. I'm also trying new things to challenge myself, like using animal protagonists instead of people. Because... well, this is animation, most things star animals and I'd better get used to that!

Wow I seem to talk a lot about nothing. Oopsie.

Oh god it happened again.

I'm not kidding, every time I try to use this site they change the layout. Why. What do you have against me blogging?!

But in all seriousness, I've wrapped up my junior year of college already. Even if I still have more to learn, I can't even begin to put into words how much better of an experience it was compared to the end of my sophomore year. Which is a good thing, but I just need to keep moving forward! Now I have the fun task of coming up with a senior piece idea that I won't hate after slaving an entire school year over it, sobbing grossly at 5 AM nightly to get it done.

I'm rather proud of myself for this summer, too.  I assumed it'd be 80% me playing video games, 20%  throwing myself into the sun for not doing anything productive, but it seems like it's been more 50/50.  At least I haven't beaten Kirby's Dreamland 3 yet.  Yet.

Whoa what.

I swear I keep forgetting this website so every time I find it, it changes its layout. Okay. BUT ANYWAY I'm in the last legs of my junior piece! All scenes are inked out, I just need to color like the wind and fix up some stuff. I feel like I learned a bit about animating through this that I can carry over to next year, but all in all I've found maybe I would've been better off as an illustration major...! Other than that I don't have much to show for my efforts. I was waiting-listed for a con AA again despite putting my application in 20 seconds after a friend who got in. She offered me a spot at her table if I don't get one in the end, though, so I'm eternally grateful for that.

Oh yea, this thing.

More stuff has happened, but yea. I'm back in school. And it's exciting because I've only had one class, but it's a class with actual learning and work! What a change from last semester!

Glorious freedom!

I'm on winter break! My character animation loop was... really bad, I'm not gonna lie. My 30-second animation was about as mediocre as mediocre can get. It doesn't help that I'm probably the weakest animator in my whole class so my self esteem just kind of drops all the time anyway.

BUT ANYWAY I CAN SLEEP AND NOT HAVE 200 ASSIGNMENTS YESSSSSS.

•Filming for my "dream" project.
