Don't quit your day job.

One of my projects from my 3D class.  I made a bird (specifically, a chukar partridge).  It... was certainly a thing.  I have learned my lesson.

So, today was my graduation.  It was definitely a thing!

And that thing I spent all year working on, my thesis animation! There's a lot I could say, but instead I'll let the video itself do the talking.

And now for something slightly different.

Specifically, the drawings from my layout class.  Which I took twice because I liked it that much.

These were from the first time I took the class, back in December 2011.  I'm more happy with the bottom one, especially because I used the excuse of going overboard on those bricks because I had not been feeling well at the time of the drawing.  There's a lot I'd go back and change, but hey!

And these are from this past semester.  A lot simpler this time around because I put almost all my effort into my thesis!  But I mostly went with this to challenge myself, because I normally draw cute things and most of my characters are small children, so I wanted to make an angry old guy.  But my typical things snuck in anyway oopsie.

Towards the finish line

6 days left, gotta make this happen!  I colored 20 scenes, give or take a few, so far today.  I hope to finish coloring all of them tonight, then doing the few ones I have left to line+color, then the few days before are dedicated to backgrounds and composting!

Also my composer sent me the first track, and it's perfect, I'm excited!

One week left.  Can I make it?  Signs point to yes, but I may as well add some tension by uploading this instead of working at the second!

Ahem.  There's about 2 weeks left before I have to turn in my thesis film.  I'm pretty confident I can make it and not have to compromise quality, but some things still need to be done.  I just put up an ad of sorts for musicians on tumblr, so hopefully I won't have to mess around with stock music!  This is the textless version.

Dangerous and... Not Moving at all, actually.

Still being a bit of a lazy sadsack, so I wanted to at least feign productivity.  So have a comparison thing.  Everything seems to be compacted as I go on.

Hopefully, I'll be resuming film stuff tomorrow.  This was just very much not my week.

A Very Gloomy Easter

I haven't done much with film progress this week due to a significant loss within my family, so all I really have to show for now is a silly little piece of vent art, if you could even call it that.

The clean-up oozes slowly forward.  Just 44 more days, will I make it?  It is a mystery, but I sure hope so.
